Special Issue on Methodology in Developmental Psychology: APA recently published the special issue New Methods for New Questions in Developmental Psychology, edited by E. Michael Foster and Ariel Kalil. A goal of this issue is to highlight the interplay between new methods and advances in developmental theory. Many of the articles provide instructional material to help scientists apply these new methods in their own studies. For example, Stephanie Lanza and Linda Collins provide an empirical demonstration (with sample code) for running latent transition analysis using PROC LTA to estimate transitions in dating and sexual risk behavior.
